About the Director of DoDA® 

The GIAD™ Apparel Project was created in 2008 by Angel A. Acevedo. Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Miami, Florida — Acevedo is a multi-disciplinary Brand Identity Designer and Creative Director at ACVDO Co. co-founder of Filme App that leads the overall aesthetic and strategy of GIAD.™ Acevedo has worked in the creative industry since 2001 with brands like Spotify, Royal Caribbean, Zumba Fitness, Reebok, VOUS Church, Relevant Magazine, Vossen and including the City of Miami.

[In the beginning, God created…]

According to ancient writings, the first thing this Being ever did, was create. An act that would detonate the very fabric of existence and space/time through this singular verb.

It then describes the creation of mankind, made in His image. This means creativity is embedded into the human psyche as analogues of the Creator. It is a superpower accessible to every person on this planet. And when it is used, it is directly tapping into a source that has been around since the beginning of time.

Therefore, the act of creation is an act of faith; faith in your skills, tools and discovery processes. While exercising an inherently god-like set of traits, it is a journey into the unknown, navigating through familiar or strange oceans in hopes to land on the shores of creative solutions.

This is why GIAD™ exists. Created in 20/08, it is a simple idea with an evergreen directive: to inspire conversations and deposit a reminder that humankind was created on purpose from the imagination of a supreme Creator.

The GIAD™ Project is inspired by aesthetics that combine retro-futurism, technology and creation. There is a rhythm between English and Modern Japanese (Kanji) that has a certain techwear appeal.The phrases used in modern Japanese were translated by a Japanese proof-reader in Tokyo.

The Rewards Department focuses on creating opportunities to thank supporters of the project by providing GIAD™ stars. A sign-up is required in order to earn stars and take advantage of elusive GIAD™ rebates. ✦

 

 

 

We prioritize GIAD™ stock when producing products. The Inventory Department uses previous drops / collection data to determine what products get produced and at what quantity. ✦

 

 

 

The Sales Department is often at odds with the Inventory Department. The Sales Teams priority is to offer the most cost-effective price-points for members of the DoDA®. Sometimes they get their way. ✦
